What happens during a workshop?

During a Canvas Ateliers workshop, you’ll be guided step by step by an instructor while creating a specific artwork. We provide all materials and guidance, and there’s plenty of room to add your own personal touch along the way.
What kind of workshops do you offer?

Canvas Ateliers offers a variety of guided creative workshops, including acrylic painting, stained glass painting (painted glass effect), impasto / textured art, gold leaf art, air-dry clay, embroidery, and embroidered tote bag workshops plus mixed media and seasonal or themed sessions. Our workshops focus on the process of creating rather than the end result, and are designed to be accessible for beginners as well as curious creatives.
Do I need any artistic experience to join?

Not at all. Our workshops are designed for beginners and curious creatives alike. No prior experience is needed
How long do workshops usually last?

Most Canvas Ateliers workshops last between 2 and 2.5 hours, giving you enough time to create, relax, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
What is the cancellation policy for Canvas Ateliers' workshops?

At Canvas Ateliers, we work with limited group sizes and prepare materials in advance. To keep our workshops fair and well-organized for everyone, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • If you cancel at least 72 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund of your ticket price.
  • If a cancellation is made between 72 and 48 hours before the workshop, 50% of the ticket price will be refunded.
  • Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 48 hours before the workshop are not eligible for a refund, as materials and planning are already in place.
  • Private events have a separate cancellation policy, which is shared and confirmed during the booking process.

Is there an age limit for Canvas Ateliers workshops?

Most of our workshops are intended for adults, but we also host family sessions and teen-friendly workshops from time to time. The recommended age range is always mentioned on the event page
Should I bring my own art supplies?

No, everything you need is included. All materials, tools, and protective items are provided by Canvas Ateliers. Just bring yourself and your creativity.
Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! Canvas Ateliers gift cards are available and can be used for any of our public workshops. They make a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys creative experiences.Gift cards are sent digitally and include all details on how to redeem them.
Can I book a private workshop or group event?

Yes! We offer private workshops for birthdays, team-building events, celebrations, and other special occasions. Private sessions can be tailored to your group size, preferred theme, and location (subject to availability).To request a private workshop, please visit our Private Events page or contact us directly.

FAQ - Gift vouchers

Yes! You can purchase a Canvas Ateliers gift voucher through our website. It's a lovely way to gift someone a creative moment (and a little pause from daily life).
No, that's not necessary. You can simply purchase the voucher(s), and the recipient(s) can use them later when booking.
In most cases, yes, vouchers can be used for any public Canvas Ateliers workshop listed on our website, unless a specific voucher states otherwise.
Choose a workshop on our website and book your spot as usual. During checkout, enter the voucher code to apply it to your booking. If you run into any issues, email us at info@canvasateliers.nl and we'll help.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If something went wrong with your purchase, please contact us and we'll look for a suitable solution.
Yes, gift vouchers are transferable. You can give it to someone else to use, as long as the voucher code hasn't been redeemed yet.

Yes. You can select a workshop from our existing themes or request a custom concept. Custom designs or themes may involve an additional fee, depending on complexity.
