Refund & Cancellation Policy - Canvas Ateliers
When you book a spot at Canvas Ateliers, that seat is held uniquely for you: your materials are set aside, your workstation prepared, and your place has been saved while we gently turned other guests toward later dates. Our approach is built around one simple idea : the earlier you let us know about a change, the more flexibility we can offer you.
Open Workshops
7 or more days before your session You can receive the full value of your ticket as studio credit, valid for 6 months on any of our workshops. As a thank-you for the early notice, we add a 10% bonus : so a €50 ticket becomes €55 in credit.
Within 7 days of your session We don't offer refunds or credit at this stage, but we offer two alternatives so your booking doesn't go to waste:
- Pass your spot to a friend or family member : just email us their name and we'll welcome them in your place.
- Reschedule to another available date : when requested more than 48 hours before your session, subject to availability.
No-shows If you don't attend without prior notice, no credit, transfer, or reschedule can be offered.
Most guests find that passing their seat to someone they love is the happiest solution : the workshop stays full, and someone new gets to enjoy an afternoon of creating.
Private & Group Bookings
Private workshops involve a full day of preparation on our end: a reserved time slot, materials for your entire group, dedicated instructor time, and often a tailored setup for your event :so they follow a slightly different rhythm.
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date, with the remainder due 7 days before the event. The deposit is non-refundable as your chosen date is immediately removed from our calendar.
30 or more days before the event The remaining balance is fully refundable, or can be held as studio credit toward a future booking.
14 to 30 days before the event 50% of the remaining balance as studio credit toward a future private booking.
Within 14 days We don't offer refunds or credit at this stage. Where the calendar allows, we will do our best to help you reschedule.
Final headcount is confirmed 72 hours before the event. All spots reserved at that point are counted toward the final total and charged accordingly. If your event has a custom agreement with different terms, those take priority.
When Canvas Ateliers Needs to Adjust
In the rare event we need to postpone or cancel a session, or example due to instructor illness or low enrollment, you will always have the choice between a full refund or transferring your booking to another date.
Getting in Touch
All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be sent in writing to info@canvasateliers.nl. The timestamp of your email determines the applicable window.
Studio credit is issued by email within 2 business days. We're a small, community-driven studio, and we genuinely appreciate a heads-up whenever your plans shift: even a quick message helps us more than you'd think.
